I have to confess straight from the start, this isn’t a judging critique. From time to time you do have trouble getting hold of the critique of a show and this is one of them – it usually turns out there isn’t a critique to start with, hence why you can’t find it anywhere! I don’t know if that is the case with this show, but if there is one I don’t know where it is?
But I’ll give you the next best thing, all the results and class placings from the Coloured Bull Terrier Club Open and Romany Trophy Show of November 2011, along with the sires and dams of all those placed in the Open Show. Not ideal but nonetheless better than nothing…
As ever, if you’d like to download a copy it couldn’t be easier, right-click on the file link below, select ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’ from your menu, and save to somewhere on your computer.
From there you can do with it whatever you like, if you’d like to notify the social media crew of its existence you can use the handy little ‘share’ buttons above and below this post.

Taking a break from the critiques for a moment, I thought I’d better get one of the monthly reports done, so here follows the Bull Terrier Show Winners from June 2012. I’m now only three behind the present, so maybe by the start of next year I’ll be on track … and knowing me maybe I won’t!

We’re getting close to the end of 2011 now with only a few more critiques to go. One of those remaining is that of the Bull Terrier Club of Wales Open Show from late November, judged on the day by Dave Westwood.
That critique has now been added to this site and can be downloaded via the link below. If you would like your own copy simply right-click on the link, select ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’ from the options, and choose a destination on your P.C. when asked.

Just a quick update on the mystery Bull Terrier featured a week or so ago, it’s time to name him. I gave a clue saying that he emulated his father with a notable achievement that very few other Bull Terriers have ever managed. That clue related to the fact that the dog in question won a Terrier Group at a General Championship Show just like his father did.
That obviously narrows the possibilities down an awful lot to only those dogs who have ever topped a Terrier Group – but the dog in question in this case is none other than Ch. Foyri Verify, the son of who Brian Foy once described as his best ever dog, Ch. Foyri Electrify.
Well done if you correctly identified him, one or two on the BTM Facebook site named him so brownie points to those – I’ll have to make the next one a bit harder!
The next mystery Bull Terrier will be added to this site in the future, so make sure to keep popping back every now and then to catch it…
The final Championship Show of the year 2011 was held down at the East Anglian Bull Terrier Club, and it was judged by Danny McGregor. Danny’s report of proceedings has now been added to this site and is available for immediate download.
If you’d like your own copy simply right-click on the link below, select ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’ (depending on browser), and save to your desired destination.

At long last I’ve managed to clear the judging critiques from October 2011 and can now set about adding those from November – major progress or what? The first of which is Dai Hall’s view of his appointment up at the North East Bull Terrier Club Open Show.
You can download your own copy by right-clicking on the link below, choose ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’ – and saving to your hard drive.
You are more than welcome to pass the file on to others, host it on your own website or use it in any other way that suits. Social Media share buttons can be used above or below this post if you’d like to alert your friends by that method.
Stay tuned, there’s more judging critiques to come in the near future…

While I’m in show information mode, I’ve just received a Schedule for the Notts & Derby District B.T.C. Championship Show in December. Rather than give all the various details I’ve just scanned the cover so you can see them all for yourself. Please make a note of the closing date for entries if you intend to take part with your own dog/s.
One of the features of the old magazine was a section where I’d show a photograph of a Bull Terrier from the past, then simply invite readers to try and identify him or her. This proved to be quite a popular little section so I thought I’d introduce it in some way to this new web format of BTM.
So here we go with the first such ‘mystery guest’ – let’s see if anyone can correctly name him?
I’ll give a bit of a clue without giving it away, I’ve already said he’s a male, but he’s not from the most recent of times so you’re looking back a few decades now. The best clue is possibly this … ‘he did what so very few other Bull Terriers have ever managed, and in doing so he emulated his own father’.
That’s all you’re getting, gold star if you know who he is. I’ll reveal the answer at a later date…
It’s just for fun, but if you like you can leave your answer below in the comments. Please don’t panic if you don’t see your comment show immediately, due to the amount of ‘spam’ comments I get I had to disable them showing automatically, and now just moderate the comments at the end of the day. Alternatively you can leave your answer on the relevant post on the BTM Facebook Page.
Please also feel free to share this with others via the share buttons above or below this post.
One of the bigger events on the show calendar is the Midland Counties Championship Show, as it provides one of the last opportunities for exhibitors to get their dogs seen by the Trophy Show selectors.
In 2001 this Show was judged by a very long standing member of the breed, Mr Ron Scott. Ron’s critique of the day’s proceedings is now available to download via the link below – if you would like a copy simply right-click on the link, choose ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’ from the menu and save to your computer.
Please feel free to circulate to your heart’s content, use it on your own website etc – alternatively you can notify others of this page by clicking on any of the social media share buttons above or below this post.

Here’s another Bull Terrier judging critique for those who took part in the Show, or indeed anyone who wants it for that matter – this time Gary Newberry’s account of the South Eastern Counties Bull Terrier Club Open Show from October 2011.
If you’d like to download it, simply right-click on the link below, select ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’ depending on which browser you use – and save to your desired destination on your PC.
