Bull Terrier Clinical Studies Fund Update

This is an update – or addition if you like – to the recent post about the Bull Terrier Clinical Studies Fund.

Terry Heath has notified me that there is some confusion regarding the form that comes with the Animal Health Trust Swab Kits, with many people thinking that they need to consult their vets to have the form filled in before sending off the kits/samples. This is not the case, – the kits are designed to allow the owner to take the samples and send off to the AHT without having to consult their vets.

Terry has also supplied me with a BTCSF form that can be completed by the owner and sent back to the AHT with their samples. You can download it the link below – just follow the simple instructions…

  1. Right-click on the download link below.
  2. Select ‘Save Target As’ or ‘Save Link As’ from the menu.
  3. Specify where you’d like to download the file to (e.g. Desktop, My Documents etc).
  4. Click on the ‘Save’ button.
  5. Wait for it to arrive.

Once you have this form it is very straightforward to understand, but I will point out one thing which should be very apparent. The PDF file that you print out has four copies of the same form, it just makes life easier for those who have more than one dog and are sending samples from a few different dogs. Obviously if you are sending samples from more than one dog then you will need to cut the forms along the dotted lines and ensure the right form goes with the right sample.

Don’t worry, you’ll know exactly what I mean once you see it – but the important thing is just get some samples to the AHT, it’s a simple thing that could really help the future of the breed…
